Former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters has kept extremely busy lately in preparation of Roger Waters The Wall's DVD release on Dec 1. In a new clip from the film, fans are able to watch the musician travel to Italy to visit his war veteran grandfather's grave.

Waters' grandfather, George Henry Waters, was buried in the Italian cemetery after being killed in World War I, a topic that hits close to home for the singer. The clip showcases Waters alongside his children, India, Jack and Harry--the latter having toured as a portion of the band for Roger Waters The Wall, UltimateClassicRock notes.

The live show of The Wall stormed the country, spanning 2010 to 2013 as Waters played for over 4.5 million fans at over 200 gigs, resulting in the most prosperous tour by a solo musician. "I'm glad we have an opportunity to share the film with people on a wider scale," Waters explained in pre-release material. "It has had a deep effect on my life - and I'm not the only one. This release provides an opportunity to remember all of our fallen loved ones."

Pink Floyd's 1979 iconic version of The Wall began as musical commentary on the grievances of fame but as the years go on, the 72-year-old has molded it into his own statement concerning war and emotional objectivity and a echo of his own journey through life.

"I was determined that it should be less specifically about my predicament and my story and my journey," the "In The Flesh" musician detailed, "and more a general look at what it means to those of us who become victims to what seems to be an insatiable desire by those with the reins of power in their hands to wage war on others to further whatever their aims might be."

Just head of the DVD/Blu-Ray release of Roger Waters The Wall, the film's soundtrack, including a live rendition of "Comfortably Numb," arrived in stores on Friday (Nov. 20).
