Tia Mowry-Hardrict has no worries in landing on her feet and staying employed. The actress just landed a recurring role on the Fox drama series, Rosewood, alongside actor Morris Chestnut, on the heels of the Nick at Nite announcement cancelling her current show, Instant Mom.

The Fox Wednesday night show has added the Sister Sister actress to play the childhood friend of Pippy (Gabrielle Dennis), the younger sister of Dr. Rosewood (Morris Chestnut). According to Rolling Out, Mowry's character will dredge up a part of Pippy's past described as "troubling" and "mysterious."

Mowry joins the likes of actor Taye Diggs, who also landed a recurring role as Dr. Rosewood's longtime friend, who is also a doctor. According to Variety, Diggs' character, "a world-renowned infectious disease doctor" named Dr. Mike Boyce, will be brought in to consult on a case with Dr. Rosewood. HIs first appearance on the show will air on Wednesday Nov. 25.

Recent reports do not reveal the air date of Mowry's appearance but the news comes on the heels of the announcement that her recent Nick at Nite show, Instant Mom, was cancelled after only three seasons. TV Series reported that the show will not see a season four and will air the series finale in December. The show stars Mowry in the role of a step mom to three children which happened all of a sudden. Her character, Stephanie, meets a man and begins to date him and ultimately marry him - moving her from former party girl to full time step mom as reported by Deadline.

Rosewood, only in its first season, has already garnered such great ratings for the network that it has ordered three additional scripts for the freshman series. EUR reported the initial order for the show called for 13 episodes, already produced, but with the ratings continuing to climb, the series has added more with the hopes of continued success.
