On Saturday night (Nov. 28), My Morning Jacket covered Eagles of Death Metal's "I Love You All the Time" to honor both the band and the victims of the terrorist attacks that occurred at Le Bataclan in Paris on Nov. 13. The song is from Eagles of Death Metal's latest album Zipper Down and helps to fulfill the wish of the band.

Stereogum reported that the tribute took place at Beacon Theatre in New York City at the end of a four night run for My Morning Jacket at the venue.

In their first interview following the tragedy at Paris venue Le Bataclan, Eagles of Death Metal urged other musicians to play the song, citing that the publishing earnings would go towards donations for the victims of the attacks. The events of Nov. 13 left 89 members of the audience dead, although the band escaped unharmed.

The interview with Vice also covered other aspects of the attacks and was given by band members Joshua Homme and Jesse Hughes"Several people hid in our dressing room," Hughes said to Smith in the interview. "And the killers were able to get in and killed every one of them except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket."

He further said, "People were playing dead, and they were so scared. A great reason why so many were killed is because so many people wouldn't leave their friends. So many people put themselves in front of people."

It's fitting that My Morning Jacket would do a tribute since the tragedy hit home in the music industry. Amongst the 89 slaughtered were Eagles of Death Metal's merchandise manager Nick Alexander and three record label executives Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser and Manu Perez.
