Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently appeared on ABC's The Muppets, not only for an epic drum battle with Animal, the notorious Muppet drummer, but for a performance of one of his band's most popular tracks, "Learn to Fly."

In the clip, Grohl performs with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, Miss Piggy's late-night house band, who do not want to follow the rehearsal plan. While the song is being performed, a montage plays in the background, first of Pepe and Rizzo the Rat talking about becoming rockstars so they can get "the ladies." Then, Kermit gives Gonzo a motivational speech before he is shot from a cannon from one building to the next, essentially learning to fly.

Grohl's drum battle with Animal started out with the artist threateningly proclaiming that he had been waiting a very long time for this moment. It ended with both percussionists out of breath, surrendering to the other, and in all fairness anyway, their drumming skills were just about equal, so you be the judge!

Foo Fighters just finished wrapping up their tour in support of their latest album, Sonic Highways, which was paired with an HBO series, a docu-series of the same name. They also recently released a brand new free EP Saint Cecilia, in tribute to the victims of the dreaded terrorist attacks in Paris. They had been teasing the new EP for nearly a month on their website with a cryptic countdown clock that had fans going crazy with speculation.

While there is no official confirmation of the band releasing another new album anytime soon, rumors have been circulating around the possibility of a second season of Sonic Highways, this time worldwide.
