Viola Davis captures the hearts and attention of fans who tune in faithfully on Thursday nights to watch her show her students How To Get Away With Murder. Now, while the show is on Winter break, she's still capturing the attention of fans as she beautifully graces the cover of InStyle's January 2016 issue and talks about self love, being a mom and natural beauty.

Davis has certainly had a standout year from being the first African-American actress to win an Emmy for her role as Annalis Keating in the Shonda Rhimes created drama series HTGAWM, to standing out on the cover of InStyle, sporting her au naturale beauty - with her mini-afro and sparkling white teeth. The magazine shared the cover photo on their Instagram, complimenting her on just how stunning she is.

She revealed during her to interview with the magazine just how comfortable and freeing it is for her to be able to accept her natural beauty. "What's released me most from the fear of aging is self-awareness," she told the magazine. "I've never determined my value based on my looks or anything physical. I've been through a lot in life, and what has gotten me through is strength of character and faith."

Her strength of character and faith are also what keeps the actress humble and grounded and away from the hype of "celebrity," according to Centric. Davis says that, although many people may know who she is and they consider her to be a star, she herself never feels like one. She explains how it's hard to get caught up in the idea of being famous or a celebrity when she's too busy playing games with her 5-year-old daughter or cooking for her family.

"Taking care of a 5-year-old, cooking at home, and running to the set when you've had four hours of sleep, you don't feel like a movie star," she explained. "Then, every once in a while, you put something on that makes you feel cute."

Davis speaks more about those ensembles that make her feel cute and more of her own personal style in the January Issue of Instyle, which is available on stands and for digital download on Dec. 11.
