The Weeknd and his girlfriend, model Bella Hadid, have teamed up for the filming and release of the R&B crooner's new music video. On Wednesday (Dec. 9), The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) released the clip for his Beauty Behind the Madness single "In the Night," featuring his real-life beau saving the day.

"In the Night" not only sounds like a Michael Jackson cut from the 1980s, but the song's video also throws it back a few decades with fuzzy, VCR-style visual effects and an over-the-top dramatic storylint. In the BRTHR-directed visual, Hadid is working as a dancer in a nightclub, which seems doomed to be overtaken by a series of mafia members who are clearly up to no good.

As The Weeknd spends his time singing along to his new single, walking around in the rain and looking emotional leaning up against walls, Hadid is being a femme fatale in the club, slitting one henchman's throat. And, in the most dramatic moment of the video, she even saves The Weeknd from otherwise certain death and speeds away with him on the back of her motorcycle.

Seems like she's not a bad girl to have around...

"In the Night" is the third and latest single from The Weeknd's new album Beauty Behind the Madness. The release of this track follows the promotion of his chart-topping singles "The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face."
