Jamie xx's collaboration with Young Thug and Popcaan "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)" was one of the tracks that embodied the carefree nature that has come to many of these summer-tipped crossover tracks. Now that anthem from Jamie xx's debut album In Colour has been remixed by a group of artists from around including Skepta, Frisco and Assassin.

The remix package is bookended by the original with Young Thug and Popcaan that has been so popular and then an instrumental remix for DJs who want to use the steel drum beat and other artists who want to cover the track.

In the middle is where things get interesting. The first is the official Skepta remix, which has been in the works for a couple months and previewed in various small segments at live shows and on the radio. Young Thug's verse is left to the side, though Popcaan's pre-hook is kept. The beat is flipped a little bit to add some more snare rolls for a hip-hop feel.

Skepta has been infected with the feel-good nature of the Jamie xx beat as he proclaims his first verse, "I got a first class ticket to the top / And no, you can't stop that plane / It's the Boy Better Know campaign / Every day we pop champagne / Celebrate life like Christmas day / Don't care about what a man's saying."

The second remix by Dre Skull, who calls up Assassin, Konshens and Kranium also puts aside Young Thug and goes straight into the world of Popcaan with other dancehall artists. They take it straight to the island with their verses over the beat to match.
