Kygo dropped a brand new single, "Stay," featuring Maty Noyes. The track feels like an instant hit and only added to Kygo's already impressive 2015 resume. On Wednesday (Dec. 16), Kygo gifted us with the acoustic version of "Stay," via his Facebook, which was actually recorded live at the Atlantis Studio back on Dec. 3.

The original is, "vintage Kygo," where you can hear his signature tropical house sounds throughout and the addition of Noyes (a female vocalist) is a new twist to Kygo's repertoire, as he is notorious for working with male vocalists.

"Stay" is a wildly catchy track, as most of Kygo's hits are, but strip away many of the elements to the track such as the bassline, the builds, the drops, the tropicla house sounds and leave the track to just the vocals and the piano, and you've got the Acoustic version of "Stay."

Stay (Acoustic Version)

This isn't the first time Kygo has done something like this. At the beginning of the year, Kygo released the Acoustic version to "Firestone," which ended up being the official anthem of Ultra Music Festival 2015. There are only a handful of artists out there who boil their tracks down to just the vocals and piano, and even fewer who are as big as Kygo is. In case you missed it, Kygo became the first EDM Artist to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, just a few days ago.

With an already stellar 2015, Kygo announced that "Stay" will be his last release of 2015, as he'll be taking time to finish up his debut studio album, which is set to be released on Feb. 12, 2016. You can purchase stay on iTunes here.
