MBFGW2 focuses on Toula and Ian (John Corbett) struggling to find time for each other while, they also find out a family secret that brings the family back together--the first may not be legally binding after the the priest who officiated the marriage, somehow didn't sign the marriage documents. The plot will make for another big fat Greek wedding.

The story also introduces a new character, Paris (Elena Kampouris), who plays Portokolos' daughter, ready to explore her days as a college student, away from her home and family.

The first film was reportedly the highest grossing romantic comedy of all time according to Coming Soon, and was made into a TV adaptation, My Big Fat Greek Life, in 2003, which also starred Vardalos and many of the film's cast.

"Even though we've remained friends over the years and gone for dinners together and seen each other, when we had the table read...it was the first time we were all in the same room [and] I just cried," explained Vardalos to ET.

Additional cast members include Michael Constantine, Lainie Kazan, Andrea Martin, Gia Carides, Louis Mandylor and Alex Wolff.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 will hit theaters in March 2016.
