Portland rockers The Dandy Warhols released its first new music since 2012's This Machine in the form of the chugging stoner-rock single, "You're Killing Me."

On Thursday, Exclaim reported that the band has signed to Totonto's Dine Alone Records with new music on the horizon, however few details are known as of now. There's no announcement of an official album release or a new tour, aside from the band's two upcoming international shows. But, there is this single and the assumption that those things will come.

On first listen, the song sounds pretty unremarkable, but strap on some nice headphones and give it a second listen and there's a charming '80s guitar rock feeling to it that manages to sound modern.

Courtney Taylor-Taylor's vocals on the song are laid back and his lyrics bring a weight of acceptance in the loss of love in a long relationship.

"You are killing me/ And everything you love about me/ You're making it harder and harder and harder on me/ And you ain't telling me/ Telling me much that you love me/ Anymore," Taylor-Taylor sings on the song.

Unfortunately, the Dandy's, as they are often affectionately called, are probably best known for their role in the movie Dig, which portrays the band as sellouts alongside their more authentic counterparts Brian Jonestown Massacre. It's unfortunate because there are a lot of criticisms of the biopic and as Stereogum notes, the Dandy's are much better than they ever got credit for.

Hopefully, this new album can reinvigorate the long dormant band and spur a new fandom of the Dandy's music. For now, catch yourself up on the band's catalog including hits such as "Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth," "Bohemian Like You," "We Used To Be Friends" and "Godless."
