Singer Fantasia Barrino has had her share of drama over the years—attempted suicide, admitted illiteracy, home foreclosure, needy family members, affairs with married men and more—but in her new song, "No Time For It," the now happily married Barrino (now Taylor) is insisting she's past the dark point in her life and on to bigger and better things. The song was written by Brian Kennedy, Lance Eric Shipp and Paris "PJ" Jones and has the singer sounding off about an ex trying to win her back to no avail.
While unsure if there is indeed an ex waiting in the wings, Mrs. Taylor certainly isn't checking for anyone but hubby Kendall Taylor, the COO of Metro Transportation, LLC. The two wed less than a year ago and from all reports, couldn't be happier. At the time that the two seemingly announced their new marital status, Barrino wrote, "God..... I Thank You!!! He's Everything I Prayed For... To Feel Protected and To Have Someone To Cover Me In Prayer.. To Believe when I don't Believe.. Man!!! This Weekend has me So Ready To Bring An Album They've Never Heard From Me.. I Love You Kendall Taylor..."
It looks like the singer might be ready to make good on that statement, starting with the new single and soon, a new album. The upcoming album would be her fifth; her last LP, Side Effects of You, dropped in 2013. On Instagram, Barrino revealed that her new album would be coming with a new sound she calls Rock Soul to match her new state of mind.
