5 Seconds Of Summer is looking to save the world, or at least help a few little old ladies cross the street. Yesterday (May 18), the Australian boy band (that is not One Direction, Kendall Jenner...) released its new music video for the fan-favorite track "Don't Stop," and it features plenty of tight spandex costumes and a little bit of rocking out.

The storyline for "Don't Stop" plays out a bit like the movie/comic book Kick-Ass, with the four members of 5SOS digging out some spandex and tighty-whities to become real-life superheroes.

Though the plot of that film plays dark the boys of 5 Seconds Of Summer keep things light in "Don't Stop," using their non-superpowers to help out the citizens of the town find cats, cross the street and escape bullies, though most of it plays off for comedic effect.

Between cuts of the superheroes doing their kind-of thing, "Don't Stop" features some picturesque shots of 5 Seconds To Summer jamming out on top of a city rooftop, after the day has been saved, of course.

The music video is supposed to play like a trailer for the band's upcoming debut album, 5 Seconds Of Summer, but the effect is only minorly thrown in at the beginning and end of "Don't Stop." My Chemical Romance did this trope infinitely better with its classic music video for "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)."

In the end, "Don't Stop" isn't the funniest or cleverest music video to be released, but it'll do for a second single.

"Don't Stop" follows "She Looks So Perfect" as a single from 5 Seconds Of Summer's debut, self-titled album, which is due to hit stores July 22.
