After a three-year break from playing live, indie rock band Interpol is going to be up and at it this summer and fall. Yesterday (May 30), the "Heinrich Maneuver" band announced its first U.S. tour since 2011.

According to Consequence of Sound, Interpol announced a few dates in North America for June and August (in addition to a long stretch of gigs abroad) leading up to the release of its fifth studio album. Surrounding sets at Governors Ball, Lollapalooza and FYF Fest, Interpol will be headlining shows in New Haven, Connecticut, Providence, Rhode Island, and Tempe, Arizona.

Interpol is playing festivals and headlining gigs leading up to the release to the follow-up of its 2010 self-titled album. The new record is reportedly going to drop this year.
