Electronic producer Seth Haley, aka Com Truise, recently announced his new EP, Silicon Tare, is due out April 1 via Ghostly International. Just before embarking on a North American tour with STRFKR, the producer shared a single titled "Diffraction."
The track follows in a similar sonic vein as the experimental mid-fi synth-wave slow-motion funk producer's discography to date. Listen to the dazzling, futuristic "Diffraction" below:
Silicon Tare is the third installment in Haley's sci-fi-themed trilogy that includes 2011's Galactic Melt full-length and 2014's follow-up, the Wave 1 EP.
Haley said when the story left off at at the end of Wave 1, "The protagonist, Earth's first synthetic astronaut, successfully makes contact with the far-off Wave 1 colony but, once he does, things get fuzzy," SPIN reports. Haley adds: "He falls in love; there is a war coming. A story that began in hope and dreams of discovery ends on an uncertain note. Change is in the air."
The producer's tour makes stops all over the U.S. through the end of May. In addition to the tour dates with STRFKR, Com Truise is performing at Euphoria Festival in Austin and Shaky Beats Festival in Atlanta.
