If Arsenal win today, and then take home the trophy down the line, it would be the third FA Cup in a row for the club. Speaking to the media ahead of the game, coach Arsene Wenger reflected on this opportunity.
"If we were able to do it again, it would be absolutely fantastic," the manager said, according to his team's official website. "There's no country where the national cup is bigger. In Spain and France, nobody neglects it: not Barcelona, not Madrid. Everybody plays for it 100 per cent, with a top team always. I personally rate highly the FA Cup. I think it's a fantastic, prestigious competition. I believe it is treated like that because when I listen to people, should we lose a game in the FA Cup, it would be a disaster. You cannot say on one side it's undervalued, and on the other side if we lose, it's a disaster. We won the FA Cup twice in the last two years. We will try to do our best again in this competition."
Meanwhile, Hull City are looking to advance to the Premier League next season, with this FA Cup run definitely showing that they can compete with top teams. Manager Steve Bruce spoke to the press about this topic.
"We've got a chance because it's a cup tie and anything can happen. If we can get through, then we've got a quarter-final against Watford," the coach said, according to HullCityTigers.com. "The priority is always the league and where we want to get to because we want to be playing the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea every week, but there's nothing like a run in the FA Cup, as we saw a couple of years ago. A lot of Hull fans had the best day of their life going to the FA Cup Final. It's a great occasion and a great day and when you get to this stage of the competition, it's all to play for. "
