Rapper Eminem's pumped to see LL Cool J working in the studio again. But infamous radio personality Charlamagne Tha God? Perhaps not so much...

The infamous G.O.A.T. continues hyping his 2016 new music comback:

"With hip-hop today, in this era, I feel like I have to make a contribution. I've made a contribution in every other era. I haven't made a high powered one in this era yet. I look forward to doing that. I think it's going to set a standard for the culture in general," the 48-year-old NYC native said in a recent Billboard interview. "The most fun for me will be introducing music to people who only know me for my acting, my hosting and all of that stuff. They'll get a chance to see me in my original element."

Apparently, Charlamagne's intrigued because he does consider the "Hit em' High" lyricist one of the "greatest." But still, his most recent bars have been rather "weak" (via hiphopearly.com).

Well, the "NCIS: Los Angeles" superstar wouldn't let that fly:

Basically, Cool J "challenged" Charlamagne to a fight in a (since deleted) Instagram post. And the Breakfast Club host's quick response?

Get it?

So, will yet another industry feud now erupt? Perhaps Drake should jump on a diss track alongside the "I'm Bad" emcee. Charlamagne believes that the YMCMB protege was a bit too "cocky" on his latest single, "Summer Sixteen." He recently responded to these specific lyrics blasting Jay-Z and Kanye West:

"I used to wanna be on Roc-A-Fella then I turned into Jay / Now I got a house in LA, now I got a bigger pool than Ye / And look man, Ye's pool is nice, mine's just bigger's what I'm saying."

"I understand what he's saying, but you gotta understand how that could be taken... You could be taking a light shot at Jay. You should aspire to be on that level, but you're never going to be Jay. Nobody is... It's like relax, yo. You've never made a 'College Dropout.' You've never made a 'Late Registration.' You've never even gotten a Kardashian pregnant" (via VladTV).

Meanwhile, Drizzy's highly-anticipated new album Views from the 6 should officially hit airwaves sometime in April.
