Young Thug recently dissed his former collaborator Rich Homie Quan before performing their hit single “Lifestyle.” Despite Thug’s choice words for Quan, the feeling apparently is not mutual. On Sunday (March 20), Quan responded to Thug on Instagram and referred to the Slime Season rapper as his “best friend.”

He made the assertion while previewing a new song, which also addresses the highly scrutinized Rich Gang breakup. In the snippet, he lip syncs, “I had to separate myself from Rich Gang / No disrespect to Birdman / Thugga Thugga still my best friend, best friend, best friend.”

In the caption of the post, Quan wrote, "u can say f*ck me all u want to u still my BESTFRIEND."

Thug has yet to publicly respond, but he did send out a tweet that reads, "If u f*ck/listening to the enemies I can't deal with u." He also made his Instagram account private.

The two have been at odds since last year, after putting out a good amount of music together through 2014, most notably for Rich Gang's Tha Tour: Pt 1. In early 2015, Quan revealed that he would be stepping away from Rich Gang to focus on his solo career. Presumably in response, Thug name dropped the “Type of Way” rapper and referred to him as “b*tch Homie Quan.”

Back in November, Quan hinted at a Rich Gang reunion and the release of Tha Tour: Pt. 2 album. He shared a photo of himself lying next to the Cash Money Records logo, which he captioned with "Rich Gang Pt. II," presumably referring to the sequel to Tha Tour: Pt. 1.

Aside from Quan's post, there have been no updates on the project and Thug has yet to confirm.
