Adele is rumored to be leaving XL Recordings to sign with Sony which might go down as one of the most lucrative record deals in the industry for a British artist. The singer has been with XL Recordings for all three of her albums, 19, 21 and 25.

According to NME, Adele’s deal with XL Recordings expired following the release of 25 this past November and The Sun also reported on May 23 that it would be one for the books. It will reportedly even top Whitney Houston’s $70 million deal from Arista in 2001, coming in at $90 million.

A representative at Sony reportedly said, “We’ve secured Adele, who’s without a doubt the biggest music star in a generation. This is massive.”

Columbia Records, a division of Sony, has already released her music in the states and the representative further said, “We had an existing relationship with Adele in American. The deal is being worked on by Columbia in the US, but it’s worth $90 million and gives Sony the rights to release Adele’s future music exclusively around the world.”

The rumors are flying, but representatives for Adele have yet to comment on them.

The singer is the wealthiest female musician in the U.K., and her fortune already reaches $85 million.

Adele additionally just released the music video for her new single “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” which is the third single from latest album 25. It comes after smash leading single “Hello” in addition to “When We Were Young.”

She is also slated to headline her first festival this upcoming June when she performs on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on June 28.
