Mandy Moore recently opened up about her divorce from Ryan Adams around two months after it was finalized. According to her, now that her relationship with Adams is officially over, she can start focusing on herself again.

After being married for six years, Moore and Adams filed for divorce in January last year citing irreconcilable differences. After more than a year, their separation was finalized last June.

While at a press panel for her new television show This Is Us on Tuesday, Moore talked about what she went through following the split. Although she admitted that she had a hard time coping with it, she said that the divorce also helped her focus on the things she's currently doing.

"It's tough," she said during the Television Critics Association panel according to E! Online. "I think it's been great to be able to take all of the chapters in my life and be able to pour it into a job like this because it all helps. It's all fuel."

But aside from her television and film projects, which includes the recently released survival horror movie In The Deep, Moore revealed that she intends to return to her career in the music industry.

Despite achieving commercial success during the early 2000s through the hits "Candy" and "I Wanna Be With You," Moore's singing career waned during the last couple of years. In fact, the last studio album that she released was Amanda Leigh back in 2009.

According to Moore, she enjoys being an actress but she also wants to sing again. She also said that since the release of her last album, she has been writing new songs that reflect her personal experiences.

"I want to get back to music," she told People. "I've been writing for the last seven years, since I put out a record. So I have a wealth of music to choose from. The ups and downs, and trials and tribulations, love, career, family, friends, loss -- all of that."
