The family of murdered singer Christina Grimmie has released the music video for her "Snow White" track from the Side A EP. The video is the first installment from the singer's Ballad of Jessica Blue series.

The music video plays out as a six minute short film, stars Grimmie as Jessica Blue. It focuses on the main character's hope in finding her "prince charming" as she struggles with her current relationship with her boyfriend.

The video for "Snow White" introduces the character Blue and what she's yearning for. Her full story will be unveiled through the upcoming videos for the EP's other tracks "Anybody's You," "Deception" and "Without Him." The short films for these songs will be released on a weekly basis.

According to a Twitter post by Grimmie's family, the Ballad of Jessica Blue series tells the story of the singer's character as she tries to discover who she really is.

"The Ballad of Jessica Blue is retro-styled narrative and music video short film," the family of Grimmie tweeted. "The story follows a young girl's journey into self-discovery through her love life, her womanhood and her music. 'Jessica' is at a crossroads in her life. She becomes suspicious of her boyfriend and is gripped by insecurities only to realize that she is doing more damage to her own heart and future than any relationship ever could."

Grimmie released her second EP, Side A, in February this year. It was the last project she worked on before she was shot and killed on June 10 shortly after performing at a concert in Orlando's The Plaza Live. The suspect, a crazed fan identified as James Loibl, committed suicide after killing Grimmie.
