Insomniac announced its lineup for EDC Orlando today, but before it even did that it was setting its sights on a brand new festival on a continent the brand had never touched. Electric Daisy Carnival is coming to India and the festival is happening in 2016.

"I finally get to share the news that EDC will find a new home in Delhi, India, this fall," said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac in a press release. "Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by the country's colorful and exotic culture. I know it's a place where the magic of EDC can come alive in a truly unique way."

EDC India will be a two-day event on Nov. 12 and 13 in Delhi, India.

With a festival in Asia, Insomniac has brought its Electric Daisy Carnival brand to four continents. It got its humble beginnings 20 years ago in Los Angeles and has since spread out across the North America, Europe, and South America.

Insomniac has partnered with Only Much Louder (OML), an Indian live event company.

"There are very few festivals that every EDM fan in the world talks about. Once I witnessed EDC in Las Vegas, I could see why," said Vijay Nair, CEO of OML Entertainment. "I have never seen a festival of this scale so beautifully executed. We can't wait to bring that experience to Indian fans and blow their minds."

Further details about the lineup, venue or ticket information are forthcoming. Stay tuned to the festival's website here.
