Well, the self-proclaimed Queen of Twerking has done it. Miley Cyrus has reached 13 million followers on Twitter, and as the "We Can't Stop" singer promised, she revealed the title of her new album 2013: "BANGERZ."
Shortly before 4 p.m. today (Aug. 6), Cyrus passed her Twitter goal to unveil her album title, after weeks of teasing her Smilers fans. Upon reaching her goal, Cyrus tweeted simply: "13 million #BANGERZ." Soon, she elaborated, "If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ."
Little else is known about "BANGERZ," except that it is reportedly due out sometime this year. As MStars previously reported, Cyrus told Billboard that she worked with Dr. Luke, Edge and Mike WiLL Made It on her reinvention record. She also told capital.fm she's working with her "Fall Down" collaborator will.i.am on a track.
Of course, her sexy smash summer single "We Can't Stop" will be included on the album. Additionally, a song called "23" is rumored to be released later this month and be included on the album.
Other rumored songs include "Wrecking Ball," which had a snippet premiere on a radio show last month and "Last Goodbye," which leaked in part in June.
Despite the somewhat odd album title, Cyrus' fans are excited about the impending release and have taken to Twitter to express their happiness about the twerk-friendly album title. Meanwhile, the name has made other music fans roll their eyes.
