Fantasia Barrino and her mother Diane delved in to their gospel roots last night and gave an uplifting, spiritual performance to their Facebook followers via Facebook Live.

The live video that was shared on Fantasia's fan page and captioned, "Me and Mama Again!!! I just hit record," garnered well over nine million views and displayed the talent and vocal abilities of the Barrino women.

What looked like a regular family night turned into a free virtual concert all prmpted by Tasia's scheme to capture her mother's vocals on camera.

"Tell me if y'all can hear me this so I can catch my mama walking around the house singing," Tasia whispered to her Facebook Live onlookers.

Once confirmed that her levels were good and followers could hear her loud and clear, she began to belt out the lyrics to the classic gospel hymn "Pass Me Not." Her mother unknowingly joined in to the recording, adding her vocals to the bridge of the song, "crying Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry...."

The American Idol winner gave a phenomenal performance of the same song during her 2013 Whitney Houston tribute on BET's Sunday Best. She also sang on another BET gospel program, Bobby Jones Gospel, with her mother, where they showed the world their vocal chemistry with "He's Done Enough."

Fantasia admitted that she doesn't often get on Facebook Live to give mini-free concerts but on that night she just "felt like singing and wanted her fans to hear her mother sing as well.

Their performances together always spark the question that was asked by several followers on the video - will there be some type of joint project to come?

Fantasia heard the request of the people and revealed that an album with she and her mother is on the way. Be on the look out for that one.
