Fans eagerly anticipating the “Outlander” Season 3 premiere were treated to a few details about the new season with the release of a new trailer. Titled “The Reunion of the Centuries,” it showed flashbacks to the beginning of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) romance. What’s more, the trailer gave a glimpse on what to expect next in the new season.

“Outlander” Season 3 will pick up right after Claire returns to her life in 1948 by traveling through the stones. She is pregnant with Sam’s child and is struggling with the effects of her sudden reappearance to her marriage with Frank (Tobias Menzies) according to ComingSoon.

In the trailer, their daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) becomes a constant reminder of Jamie to Claire. She can be seen becoming more and more like her father as she grows as Claire continues to struggle with letting Frank back in her life.

Meanwhile, Sam is in the 18th century. He is still reeling not only from his debacle in the historic Battle of Culloden but also from losing Claire. Through the passing of the years, Jamie and Claire will try to move on with lives apart from each other. But, they will each be haunted by the memories of lost love.

With centuries and continents separating them, Jamie and Claire must find their way back to each other. Their reunion will be, as in the previous two seasons, marked with great adversity, mystery and adventure. Wether they will be the same people who parted at the standing stones so many years ago will have to be answered should they find their way back to each other again.

In the book version, Jamie and Claire will have their reunion in a print shop reports Express. The new “Outlander” Season 3 trailer teased that Claire, who is back in the 18th century, just about to walk the door. Fans were left hanging on what Claire will find inside.

“Outlander” Season 3 will have thirteen episodes. As most fans know by now, it is based on the third book of Diana Gabaldon’s international best seller “Outlander” book series. The eight-book series has so far sold more than 28 million copies worldwide. The TV series will return on September 10.
