Looks like Blink-182 fans have a reason to celebrate. The band's guitarist, Tom DeLonge, recently announced via a post on Instagram that the group is going to be recording a new album.

According to the post, the band is currently rehearsing new material. When the group will actually record is still uncertain but at least fans can rest assured knowing full well that another record is coming.

Last September, DeLonge and bassist Mark Hoppus spoke with MTV News about the process of recording, equating it to painting. The two say, "You've just got to start with that first brushstroke, and get your clothes off, and get the other person's clothes off, get a little bit of feces, smear it around. Just get going."

Oh...Blink. Despite having grown in age, we're thrilled to see you're still you!

The new record will be the band's first studio album since 2011's Neighborhoods.

Check out Delonge's post below, which not only makes the announcement but also gives fans a little taste of what the group looked like in their younger days alongside the caption: "Rehearsals start today... And yes there will be a new album #SorryForTheWay #Blink".

Following DeLonge's Instagram post, drummer Travis Barker chose to put up his own picture in order to drum up some of the hype. The post's caption read: "#RehearsalLife #BLINK #EuropeanTour #NobodycaresGoharder."

Blink-182 will headline the Reading & Leeds festival in August.

Stay tuned for more updates on the forthcoming album, and let us know which other '00s pop-punk band you'd like to see release an album next in our poll below!
