Garth Brooks isn't the only country star who's gearing up for a new record release and a potential tour. He's taken off more time than Kenny Chesney has, which is why we probably why we haven't given that much thought to what the latter's cooking up. Chesney doesn't have a huge tour in mind as Brooks does, but at least we'll see him at some point this year

The country star will only be playing one show during 2014-thanks largely to his busy schedule completing his album The Big Revival-but it will be a big one. The performer revealed on Thursday that he would be playing a beach show (an appropriate theme considering his persona) on the border between Alabama and Florida, on the respective beaches of Orange Beach and Penascola. The title of the gig, also in line with Chesney's personality, will be "Flora-Bama-Jama."

Despite being free, the show will be in an enclosed area, so you'll need a pass if you plan on attending. No word on how many fans will be in attendance, but you should probably get to Chesney's website sooner than later if you want a ticket.

"I've been holed up making a record for the last year...and anyone who knows me knows how much I miss playing, miss the fans, but especially miss the culture the people who love this music bring with them," the performer said. "Obviously, this isn't going to be one of those huge shows we do, but it's gonna be a long day, a whole lotta music and even more fun."

No word yet as to when the actual album will drop, but expect it to be near to that of Brooks later during the year. Neither will want to "compete" with a same-week release, but you never know.
