Drake is starting the year right with two new surprises for his loyal followers. The rapper released two new songs, "God's Plan" and "Diplomatic Immunity," and both songs landed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

"God's Plan" soared to the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 in the week ending Feb. 3 after the track achieved 82.4 million U.S streams in the week ending Jan. 25. On Jan. 22, the song racked up 4,326,679 streams on Spotify, breaking the platform's first-day streaming record.

The song also had a whopping 14 million plays on Apple Music, once again shattering its first-day streaming record. The track follows Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," which had 84.5 million streams in the week ending Sept. 16, 2017.

Aside from streaming record, the new track also soared to the top spot in Digital Song Sales. It had 127,000 downloads in the week ending Jan. 25. It is the third track from the rapper that made it to No. 1 on Streaming Songs and his eighth for Song Sales.

"God's Plan" is Drake's fourth No. 1 track on the Hot 100 chart. He first reached the highest position as a featured artist in Rihanna's "What's My Name?" which topped the chart in the week dated Nov. 20, 2010. He followed this feat with a second collaboration with the artist on "Work," which reigned over the chart for nine weeks beginning March 5, 2016.

Drake achieved another lead with his own song "One Dance," which features Kyla and WizKid. The track was the longest-running chart-topper after it dominated the chart for 10 weeks starting May 21, 2016.

"God's Plan" is Drake's first track to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, knocking Camila Cabello's "Havana" out of its one-week lead. It is the 29th title to debut on the top spot, following the success of DJ Khaled's "I'm the One," featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo, and Lil Wayne. The track soared to No.1 on May 20, 2017.

Aside from "God's Plan," "Diplomatic Immunity" also grabbed the No. 7 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. This makes Drake's new tracks debut simultaneously in the top 10, marking his 21st Top 10 hit in the United States.
