Manic Street Preachers Joins Guns N’ Roses ‘Not In This Lifetime’ European Tour

Manic Street Preachers just announced that it would be joining Guns N' Roses in a series of shows in Europe.

The Not In This Lifetime tour will kick off this summer.

The Welsh rock band is a huge fan of Guns N' Roses. During a previous interview, the members said that they realized rock was not dead when they heard "Appetite for Destruction."

However, Manic Street Preachers will not be performing alongside Guns N' Roses on all of its shows. The group will only headline for the latter in Berlin, Odense, and Gelsenkirchen on June 3, 6, and 12, respectively.

The Welsh rock band is also scheduled to release its 13th album on April 13. Resistance Is Futile will serve as a follow up to the band's 2014 compilation Futurology.

James Dean Bradfield's Interview

Last year, James Dean Bradfield, Manic Street Preachers frontman, opened up about Resistance Is Futile.

"Nicky Wire, [bassist and lyricist] has given me some amazing lyrics that absolutely sum up the political situation that we've been talking about, and I've fallen back in love with the middle 8. I'm writing a lot of middle 8s. I would like to kick against the oblique, delineated, opaque groove that everybody is into. I'd like to rock again," said Bradfield.

Who Is Manic Street Preachers?

Manic Street Preachers, formed in 1986 in Blackwood, Caerphilly, is a band is made up of Bradfield, Wire, and Sean Moore. After the release of the band's first song, "Suicide Alley," Richey Edwards joined the Manics. The band's debut album is called Generation Terrorists.

The band's other albums are The Holy Bible, Everything Must Go, This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours, Journal for Plague Lovers, Send Away the Tigers, Futurology, Gold Against the Soul, Lifeblood, Know Your Enemy, Rewind the Film, Louder than War, and more.

Some of the band's most popular songs are "Motorcycle Emptiness," "If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next," "A Design For Life," "Little Baby Nothing," "Suicide Is Painless," "Kevin Carter," "The Everlasting," "Stay Beautiful," "Australia," "Motown Junk," "Faster," and "Ocean Spray."

Who Is Guns N' Roses?

Guns N' Roses, on the other hand, is a rock band from Los Angeles, which was formed in 1985. The band is made up of Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and Steven Adler.

As of late, Guns N' Roses has already released six studio albums. The band's first compilation, Appetite for Destruction, was released in 1987.
