Liz Phair Talks About 'Exile In Guyville'

In 2010, the 50-year-old singer opened up about her Exile In Guyville album and said that it was inspired by some questions that Mick Jagger had asked her.

"I would write down the song from Exile and I had a code - there were stars, squares, circles, spiral lines, at least eight symbols that each meant something," explained Phair.

Phair will also embark on a series of shows starting May 31. The singer will exclusively perform songs from the Girly-Sound tapes. Phair's shows will wrap up on June 9 in Chicago, Illinois.
