Friends of Selena Gomez are still not convinced that Justin Bieber is good for her. A source close to the "Wolves" singer recently said that Gomez's pals do not want her to date Bieber.
The unnamed source also said that Gomez does not normally bring Bieber along with her when she hangs out with her gal pals because they do not like Bieber. Even though the "Despacito" singer has been trying to win the hearts of Gomez's friends and family, it seems that things have not worked out for him.
"Justin does care what her friends and family think and has tried to win them over, but some of them are just over it. They're there for Selena and support her no matter what, but don't feel like they need to welcome back Justin. If you notice, Selena keeps her friends and Justin separate..." said the source.
However, there is at least one instance wherein Gomez's friends and Bieber are forced to see one another. The couple has a common group of peers in church, and they hang out regularly.
"She's not going to abandon herself or her friends for Justin, that's a big difference this time around. She's making a point not to put him ahead of everything and everyone else. Spending quality time with her close friends is important to her," the source added.

In related news, Gomez is also spending some time away from her boyfriend while bonding with some of her friends. The 25-year-old singer is currently on vacation in Sydney, Australia, where she was photographed swimming at the beach.
Another photo shows the "Same Old Love" singer basking under the sun while reading a book. She is wearing an orange and black 2-piece swimsuit. A third photo shows Gomez smiling while looking at the camera. She is covering her scar from her recent kidney transplant.
An insider told People that Gomez decided to go to Sydney with her friends because she and Bieber are not in good terms. The couple is reportedly taking a break from their newly rekindled romance. Bieber and Gomez also split years ago, but they reunited recently after Gomez's surgery.
"It doesn't seem like a big deal and they will probably be fine soon again," said the insider.
The insider also clarified that Gomez's mom had nothing to do with her decision to split from Bieber. Mandy Teefey reportedly does not approve of the "Sorry" singer.
