Boy George is confirmed to go on a summer tour, with his first show taking place on June 29.

He will be joined by Culture Club, the B-52s, and Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins. Their series of shows will kick off in St. Augustine, Florida and will wrap up in Fresno, California on Oct. 5.

Other than his upcoming 40-date tour, Boy George announced on Tuesday that he is also working on new music with Culture Club. Some of his new material will be featured in his summer lineup. He will also perform his massive hits "Karma Chameleon" and "Miss Me Blind" during his shows.

Culture Club's Hiatus

Boy George served as the lead vocalist of the Culture Club, but he left the group to pursue a solo career. A decade later, he reunited with his bandmates to release the Don't Mind If I Do album. They also went on a reunion tour at that time.

After going on another hiatus, Culture Club once again got back together to tour in 2015 and 2016. The members of the group also worked on their Tribes album years ago.

"I just wanted to release the album so it will get heard. It would be smarter for us to put the record out when I have a social presence rather than relying on a little bit of nostalgia and the goodwill of the press and sporadic radio play," said Boy George.
