As per a post on his publisher's website, prolific American composer Stephen Paulus remains comatose.

At this time the family is still requesting privacy as they deal with this difficult situation, but express their gratitude for all the love and support shown during the past month."
According to Paulus Publications, plans are still moving forward for the première of "A Refined Reflection," commissioned by organist Caron Farmer to be a lyrical second movement for Baronian Suite (which was named in honor of Pipedreams host Michael Barone).
Farmer is scheduled to perform Paulus' "A Refined Reflection" from Baronian Suite at a recital in Michigan on August 14.
A native of New Jersey, Stephen Paulus (b. 1949) has lived most of his life in Minnesota--writing for orchestra, opera, chorus, chamber ensemble, solo voice, concert band, piano and organ.
Paulus co-founded the American Composers Forum in 1973, and he has continued to work on behalf of his colleagues by serving on ASCAP's Board of Directors.
His music has been commissioned, recorded and performed by the orchestras of New York, Cleveland, Atlanta and his beloved Minnesota, as well as Washington Opera, Opera Theater of Saint Louis, Dale Warland Singers, Deborah Voigt and Doc Severinsen.
