Camila Cabello surprises her fans with a remix of her hit song "Never Be the Same." The recent version of the track will feature Kane Brown.

Cabello shared the news with her fans on her Twitter account on Thursday, April 26. She said that the new version of "Never Be the Same" tells an entirely different story.

The former member of Fifth Harmony said that she personally wanted to sing the song with Brown after she heard him sing.

"I was like he's the PERFECT artist to do this with... I'm so excited about this and hope you love it as much as I do and thank you Kane for your magical voice..." wrote Cabello.

Cabello and Brown's rendition will soon be available on Spotify and iTunes.

Camila Cabello Releases 'Never Be The Same,' Music Video

"Never Be the Same" was released on Jan. 9, 2018, and it is featured in Cabello's solo debut album Camila. Other songs in the compilation include "Havana," "Bad Things," "Real Friends," "All These Years," "Consequences," "In the Dark," "Into It," and "Inside Out."

Two months after the song's release, Cabello dropped the music video for "Never Be the Same." During an interview in March, the 21-year-old said that she identifies with "Never Be the Same" and "Consequences" the most.

The Making Of 'Camila'

She also shared some details regarding the making of her album.

"I never want to do what people expect me to do. I feel like it's uninteresting if I just came out with 'Havana' part two and part three and my album was just a bunch of different versions of 'Havana,' said Cabello.

Fifth Harmony's Fallout

The singer had been performing with Fifth Harmony before she announced her exit from the girl group in 2016. The other members of the group, namely Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke, released a statement regarding Cabello's exit and directed it to their loyal fans.

They claimed that it was Cabello's rep that told them about the singer's decision to leave Fifth Harmony. They also said that they wish her well.

However, Cabello said that the other members of Fifth Harmony were all aware that she wanted to leave the group months before the announcement.

"Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was 'leaving the group' is simply not true," said Cabello.

At the time, she said that she wants to focus on her solo career, and that is exactly what she did.
