After months of shielding her face, country singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood is feeling so much braver now to show off her face.

A few months after she fell outside of her home in Nashville and received minor injuries, the 35-year-old posted a hilarious new video with husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, on Instagram.

Road Trip Fun

In a short video posted on April 28, Underwood was seated on the passenger's seat with an annoyed look on her face while her husband, who was driving the vehicle, was making high-pitched noises.

The caption reads, "Must we? So annoying."

This, of course, was not the first time that the former American Idol showed her face to the public since her accident last year. She took the stage of the 2018 Academy of Country Music last month to debut her new song, "Cry Pretty."

However, at that first performance in a while, Underwood was wearing an inch of makeup and had bright lights pointed at her that covered up what might have been left from her injuries.

The recent Instagram video is also the first time that she showed a close-up of her face with minimal, natural makeup.

As everyone probably already noticed, the 35-year-old did not have any visible scarring from when she had some 40 stitches to close off her wounds. Underwood is still as gorgeous as ever.

Earlier this year, the award-winning singer warned fans in an open-letter that she might look different after the accident. Since November, the mother of one dodged paparazzi photos and refused to post selfies on her social media accounts.

Because she shied away from the spotlight for a couple of months, her fans and critics have been watching Underwood's face closely to find remainders from the accident. Hopefully, the recent close-up video of her face could dispel any doubts and let the country music star focused on her next project.

Triumphant Return To The Spotlight

Underwood has a lot in store for the rest of the year. Earlier this month, she announced that she is working on her next album, Cry Pretty. Her sixth studio album is set to be released in September.

Last Sunday (April 29), she kicked off the second round of the Stanley Cup by singing the national anthem ahead of the game between the Nashville Predators and the Winnipeg Jets at the Bridgestone Arena.

Her "annoying" husband served as the captain of their home team.

Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, Maren Morris, and others have also performed this season.

In a previous interview, the "captain's wife" promised more surprises this season.

"I had so much fun and wanted to continue to support the team by asking a few of my friends to get in on the action," she told the Tennessean. "Like all of the Preds fans, I'm thrilled that Mike is back on the ice and I love that we are able to bring the music and hockey worlds together this way."
