Alice in Chains surprises fans with its new song "The One You Know." The track will be featured in the rock band's forthcoming sixth LP.

The almost five-minute music video for "The One You Know" was also released on Friday, May 4. It opens with band members Jerry Cantrell and William DuVall playing their respective instruments. A few seconds after playing grungy, dissonant riffs, Cantrell started singing some lines to the song.

Jerry Cantrell Teases New Album

Cantrell, who serves as the guitarist of Alice in Chains, previously talked about the band's album. He said that the compilation is something that they have not done in the past.

"There's some really heavy s***, some really ugly stuff, some real beautiful stuff, some weird trippy s***. It's good," said Cantrell.

Mike Inez Talks About Working In The Studio

Last year, Mike Inez, the bassist for Alice in Chains, dished on what it has been like working on the album thus far. He said that spending 24 hours in the studio is not fun. However, they consider what they do a great job.

"But we try to make that our clubhouse and separate that from the business, kind of. So we're still in that... playing the sandbox, kind of, for this new record anyways. We're still getting together in the same city, and plugging in the same room," said Inez.
