Pusha-T announces that his new album will no longer be called King Push. The compilation will now be titled Daytona.

The musician's announcement came just days before the album's official May 25 release date. Pusha-T also unveiled the tracklist for Daytona this week.

Why Did Pusha-T Change His Album Title?

On his Twitter account, Pusha-T said that he changed the album title because he felt King Push did not embody the overall theme of the project. Daytona, on the other hand, talks about the artist's luxury of time.

In a follow-up tweet, Pusha-T told his fans that the songs on his third studio album come from a genuine place. He also said the compilation was created for "family and high taste level, luxury, drug raps fans."

Pusha-T, Kanye West's Political Views

In a different post, Pusha-T's also thanked Kanye West. West serves as the executive producer of Daytona. Even though he is grateful to West, he said that the two of them have very different political views. Kim Kardashian's husband is a supporter of President Donald Trump.

Pusha-T, on the other hand, supported Hillary Clinton's candidacy. He also has so much love for former President Barack Obama.

"It's just another one of many things we disagree on. It's just a stance that I have. I'm totally against it. I do feel like it affects [the music] in a positive way because I do feel like [Kanye] knows that that's one thing that better not lack," explained Pusha-T.
