Rob Zombie teams up with Marilyn Manson to record the Beatles hit song "Helter Skelter." The track was unveiled ahead of the duo's forthcoming tour.

The over three-minute track features Zombie and Manson's classic rock tunes. "Helter Skelter" was originally released by the Beatles in 1968, and the original version is far from Zombie and Manson's rendition. The original track has a calmer tone to it.

Zombie and Manson alternate vocals throughout the track. They both delivered horror-centric and distorted lines that ensured their version is unique.

Zombie talked about their decision to release a cover of "Helter Skelter" and said that everything just came together at the last minute.

Why Record 'Helter Skelter'?

The two artists thought of performing a song together on their tour when they thought of "Helter Skelter." Instead of just singing it live for their fans, they decided to take it one step further and record it.

"That way, rather than just doing some impromptu jam together, now the fans will go, 'Oh, there's the song I've already heard, and now they're doing it,'" said Zombie.

Tour Dates, Venues

The two artists have obviously made amends following their spat in 2012 during their tour. This year, they will once again headline a series of shows together and fans can only hope that things will be more peaceful for both artists.

Zombie and Manson's tour kicked off on July 11 at the DTE Energy Music Center in Detroit, Michigan. The duo's next show will take place at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri on July 14. Zombie and Manson's concerts will wrap up on Aug. 29 at the Fivepoint Amphitheater in Irvine, California.

Rob Zombie Talks About Ongoing Tour

During a recent interview, Zombie explained why he decided to team up with Manson again. He said that they both felt it was something they needed to do especially after their recent feud.

"We're both from the same mindset of putting on a rock show. We're both rock stars. We were never from the world of guys in cargo shorts staring at our shows," said the singer.
