The World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Citizen are working together for "One World: Together at Home" to be curated by Lady Gaga. This project aims to support healthcare first responders against the coronavirus outbreak.

Earlier today, March 6, ET, WHO held its virtual press conference to provide an update on the global status of the worldwide pandemic. Also, they announced their partnership with the nonprofit for the "One World: Together at Home" concert. The global special will be broadcast on April 18, Saturday at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on NBC, ABC, ViacomCBS Networks, as well as with iHeartMedia.

It will also be available via Bell Media networks in Canada. Moreover, BBC One will also air the special the following day, April 19 (Sunday), with international media partners beIN Media Group, RTE, and the MultiChoice Group.

Aside from the live TV broadcasts, the online event will also be streamed across all major streaming services - Amazon Prime Video, Apple, LiveXLive, Alibaba, Tencent, Tencent Music Entertainment Group, Yahoo!, TIDAL, TuneIn, Twitch, YouTube - as well as social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

The event will be curated by the Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga, who disclosed in the WHO media briefing that their efforts have already raised $35 million. Over the past seven days, Gaga has been working with philanthropists, tech giants, and corporate entities to muster support for the medical professionals working around the clock against the highly contagious disease.

Via video conferencing from her home, Lady Gaga expressed gratitude to the healthcare professionals around the world and sent her prayers to the people affected by the global pandemic.

Aside from the "Bad Romance" artist, other artists will grace the occasion. The star-studded event will include performances and appearances from Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Alanis Morissette, Elton John, FINNEAS, Billie Eilish, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, Coldplay lead Chris Martin, David Beckham, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Idris, and Sabrina Elba, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, J Balvin, Keith Urban, Lang Lang, Kerry Washington, Lizzo, Paul McCartney, Maluma, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, and Stevie Wonder.

The cast of "Sesame Street," together with talk show icons Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and Stephen Colbert, will be the hosts of the grand event.

Current UN Secretary-General and former Portuguese Prime Minister António Guterres said that they are "proud to join forces with One World: Together At Home to help suppress the transmission of the virus, minimize social-economic impacts on the global community and work together now to advance Global Goals for the future." He added that there is no greater cause than the collective response to the health crisis and that "we will get through this together."

The funds raised are intended for the "COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO." The health organization's specialized arm for coronavirus response currently manages and handles the distribution of PPE and medical equipment needed by healthcare professionals on the field. WHO's COVID-19 SRF also provides support to a variety of charities that support the fight against the crisis by offering food and shelter to people affected.

Last March 29, iHeart Media also launched a "concert from home" event titled "iHeart Living Room Concert for America," hosted by Sir Elton John. It also featured performances and appearances from celebrity partners of Global Citizen. Most of the guests in the March 29 show are also in the "One World: Together at Home" lineup. This event raised $8 million in support of local healthcare responders as well.
