Continuing his trend of politely engaging in bizarre, inexplicably music-related questions during his current Guardians of the Galaxy press tour, actor Vin Diesel treated Capital FM to a semi-karaoke rendition of Sam Smith's smash hit "Stay With Me." Though I personally thought that Diesel's take on the song was pretty cringe-worthy and nothing to be at all impressed about, Sam Smith apparently thought it was "amazing," and I suppose his opinion is more important than anyone else's.

"First of all, I thought it was going to be good, because I just thought if it's Vin Diesel singing, it must be great," Smith explained to Capital Breakfast,  "but when I heard it, it's the most hilarious thing I've heard in my life. It's amazing. Brilliant. The falsetto!"

Apparently Sam Smith is so exceedingly British that he can't stand to be impolite to someone who butchers his song. Or perhaps he's just a very easy person to impress. Smith goes on to describe his personal relationship to Vin Diesel's films, saying, "It's so weird for me because I remember watching XXX when I was like eleven years old!"

Smith also leaves the door open for a possible collaboration with the Fast & Furious star, saying, "I definitely think we should do a duet one day, it would be amazing." That would indeed be amazing, in a Rebecca Black sort of way.
