The 43-year-old American hip-hop musician Kanye West made his announcement. In an American Independence Day surprise, Kanye West announced that he would run for President of the United States this year.

According to Vanity Fair, Kanye West has lit some fireworks as he announced this 4th of July that he is running for president.

What do people think about Ye as President?


People aren't surprised by Kanye West's announcement as he already did it in 2015 as per the NBC report. At the 2015 MTV Music Awards, he announced that he would run for office in 2020. And last year, Ye said he would run for president in the year 2024. His candidacy will probably be under the name "Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West."


This year, his tweet still burst the netizen's opinion when he took to his twitter a post saying that we must trust the promise of America by trusting God, unifying vision, and building the future with a hashtag "2020VISION."

Ye gathered lots of different reactions. There are people who supported him and showed their admiration for the Hip-hop musician like this comment from his tweet.

"YZY SHLTRS" dome homes

Followed by his surprisingly tweet about his bid for the white house, Mr. West shared a photo of the new structures that are being built. The wooden skeleton seems like the structure has completely on its frame of a domed roof and one is on half-built. The image posted by the star has a caption "YZY SHLTRS in process #2020VISION."


According to NME, Kanye West suggested the houses could be used as spaces for the homeless to live. The "YZY SHLTRS" was inspired by the Star Wars planet. 

Last year, the prototype was completed but was torn down by the Los Angeles Department of Public Works due to unsecured permits before starting to work on them.

Kanye West hits billion net worth in 2020

In 2019, Kanye West was the highest-paid hip-hop musician in the country. He made $150 million between June 2018 and June 2019, according to Forbes. The popular magazine said that West was unhappy about not becoming a billionaire in 2019. However, this year Mr. West shared his financial documents stating that he is a billionaire with a net worth of $1.3 billion, mostly based on his Yeezy sneaker brand.
