According to TMZ, Form 1 declares that the "Kanye 2020" committee will serve as the "Principal Campaign Committee" of West for his candidacy. Is West officially a candidate?

Hours after MusicTimes reported that Kanye West canceled his plans to run for president, the Oklahoma State Election Board confirmed that Ye is qualified for the General Election ballot in Oklahoma. Wednesday is the state's deadline to file statements of candidacy for independent and unrecognized party candidates as per MSN.

It is clear that the paperwork of Kanye West with the Federal Election Commission indicates that West is officially a candidate for president but just in one state.

However, Kanye West needs to file a more important form: the 2nd Form or the Statement of Candidacy. This form will show that West spent more than $5,000 in campaign activity that will trigger his candidacy status under federal campaign finance law, as per TMZ.

"Kanye 2020" committee

A political committee called "Kanye 2020" reportedly filed paperwork with FEC, hours after reports came out stating that Kanye West already abandoned his candidacy. According to Rolling Stones, a representative for Kanye West declined to comment. However, the FEC confirmed to Rolling Stone that the "Kanye 2020" committee filed their Form 1 on Wednesday, but they cannot confirm the legitimacy of the filing. FEC advised Rolling Stone to reach out to the treasurer listed in the filing.

"Kanye 2020" committee candidate in the presidential election is Kanye West, as stated by FEC. The file listed as their address is the rapper's ranch in Wyoming. Andre Bodiford is listed as the treasurer and custodian of records, which gave his address similar to the Cody ranch. Bodiford and Kanye West seemed not to have a clear connection, but Tony Williams is on the list, which happens to be West's cousin.

Files with FEC for West's campaign

FEC forms indicate that Kanye West is serious about his announcement on July 4 that he will run for president in the November election and that he will see the White House four years earlier than he pledged.

According to Daily Mail, they have obtained a copy of the paperwork indicating that West's affiliated "BDY" is his party. The FEC files show that funds for West's campaign will go through First Bank of Wyoming. West's presidential bid could be doomed before it gets off the ground as the deadline is approaching or already passed on certain state's presidential ballots.

North Carolina, New York, Maine, Texas, New Mexico, and Indiana's deadline to register to get on the November ballot has already passed. At least seven other deadlines are coming up this month. Daily Mail stated that West needs to move quickly to avoid losing out on 85 more Electoral College votes.
