In light of recent news about conservative figures sharing opinions against Cardi B's song, Margo Price made a country version of the song to get the point across.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion dropped the controversial "WAP" single last August 7, 2020. It is no surprise that most conservatives criticized the song for its vulgar lyrics. Trevor Noah discussed the divisive reactions about the Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion collaborative track in The Daily Show.

Noah and Dulce Sloan, comedian and the show's correspondent, held an online video chat about how the song was received. The latter believes that people would still be upset even if the track was released under a different genre of music. To prove her point, she invited her singer friend Margo Price to perform a country version of the song.

Fans can find the acoustic version of WAP around the six-minute mark of the video.

Price recently released her album "That's How Rumors Get Started" last July 10. She was also dubbed by The Fader magazine as "country's next star." On top of that, she was nominated for "Best New Artist" during the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

Despite the mellow feel of the performance, the lyrics remained the same. After Price's outstanding performance, she wonders, "let's see how they like that." The showrunner was the first to react and found the cover surprising, albeit still graphic. He even went to say that they "may have another hit on their hands."

Before the impressive cover by the Grammy-nominated musician, The Daily Show also covers Kamala Harris running for Vice President. The politician-lawyer wastes no time and expresses her aggressive campaign against the current president Donald Trump.

Noah could not help but expresses his astonishment saying, "That was brutal." He also commented on how the conservative media was quick to point out stereotypes about women.
