The Official trailer for the Season 2 of The Mandalorian is here and it seems like the armored hero will be reuniting with a well-known order in the Star Wars universe.
The trailer opens with Razor Crest gliding over a planet with its cargo suspiciously open and exposed to space.
Viewers see The Mandalorian, played by Pedro Pascal, and The Child slowly come into the light while Armorer, played by Emily Swallow, asks about the one who everyone is trying to get their hands on. The armored female blacksmith suggests that the protagonist reunite the lost infant to its own kind.
When the space cowboy asked "where?," the lady weapons master called upon songs from history. The songs reveal that the Mandalorians used to engage in battles against sorcerer knights - many Star Wars fans know them to be the Jedi.
The Child is of the same species as the legendary Jedi master Yoda to the point that the infant is dubbed "Baby Yoda." Additionally, this probably means that viewers will get to see the Jedi once again in this new season. This could also be mere "legends" and Jedi knights are probably few or obliterated in this period. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how The Mandalorian will confront a Jedi warrior if he does see one - seeing that both have been sworn enemies in the past.
Viewers also see shots of returning characters Cara Dune and Greef Karga, played by Gina Carano and Carl Weathers respectively. Giancarlo Esposito portrayed Galactic Empire leader Moff Gideon is set to return as well in this upcoming season. It appears that Esposito plays a lot of big bad recently as he was also cast as Stan Edgar, President of Vought International from The Boys.
Fans will be able to stream The Mandalorian season 2 on October 30 on Disney Plus.
