The Primetime Emmy Awards celebrated the best in television last Sunday. Two of the shows that got most of the awards were superhero drama "Watchmen" for drama category and Canadian sitcom "Schitt's Creek" for comedy category. "Succession" was also worthy of note for bagging the Outstanding Lead Actor in Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series for the night. Get to know who few of the awardees are below:
For Outstanding Lead Actor in Limited Series or TV movie, Mark Ruffalo got the award for his role in "I Know This Much Is True." Regina King from "Watchmen" bagged the Outstanding Lead Actress in Limited Series or TV movie. As for Supporting Actor in Limited Series or Movie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II won for his appearance in "Watchmen." Supporting Actress in Limited Series or Movie goes to Uzo Aduba in "Miss America."
Eugene Levy won Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series while Catherine O'Hara won Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy Series. Supporting Actor in Comedy Series goes to Dany Levy while Supporting Actress in Comedy Series went to Annie Murphy. All four celebrities won the award for their portrayal of the "Schitt's Creek" show.
The Outstanding Lead Actor in Drama Series went to Jeremy Strong from "Succession." On the other hand, Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama Series went to Zendaya from "Euphoria." Billy Crudup from "The Morning Show" won Supporting Actor in Drama Series while Julia Garner from "Ozark" won Supporting Actress in Drama Series.
Outstanding Reality/Competition Series went to drag superstar competition series "RuPaul's Drag Race" while Outstanding Variety Talk Series went to "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver."
With "Watchmen" and "Schitt's Creek" winning most of the awards, it is no surprise that the awards for Outstanding Limited Series and Outstanding Comedy Series went to the two shows, respectively. Last but not the least, the Outstanding Drama Series went to satire comedy-drama "Succession."
