Nas will take the stage at the Los Angeles' Walt Disney Concert Hall on May 1, in which he will play the entirety of his landmark album "Illmatic".

LA Philharmonic Orchestra's other acts

Set on February 25 this year, this performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall will mark the first time fans see the Indie-Rock artist with Los Angeles' hometown symphony.

Father John Misty was slated to play with the Los Angeles Philharmonic last September 2021 at the Ford Amphitheatre, with free tickets distributed through the lottery. However, the said concert was ultimately canceled.

In 2018, he did perform with an orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl, but it was with a smaller touring ensemble of string and brass musicians.

On Wednesday, Misty also recently introduced his next album, "Chloë and the Next 20th Century". Set to be launched on April 8, he might preview a few of his tracks on the new album at the concert with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra.

Liz Phair, however, will not be performing with the orchestra but will instead curate "an evening of Gen X anthems". Titled 'Don't Holdyrbreath', the May 10 performance will feature the '90s indie-rock icon performing the greatest songs from her remarkable catalog.

Nas surprises fans with 'Magic'

The 48-year old rapper dropped his 14th studio album 'Magic' in the air last December 24, 2021, via Mass Appeal Records.

His nine-track album featured collaborations with A$AP Rocky and DJ Premier and production work from Grammy Winner Hit-Boy. Nas has had frequent collaborations with Hit-Boy since the 2020 release of the "King's Disease", and "King's Disease II".

Nas has two tour dates set for the year 2022. This year's Smokin Grooves Festival in Los Angeles, California, will be the rapper's first headlining performance this year, followed by a performance at the Festival of Beer in Toronto, Canada, on July 22, 2022.
