Numerous fans had questioned the upcoming "When We Were Young" concert featuring longtime pop-punk favorites and its possibility to be a big scam.

This January, an announcement was made regarding the said music festival. It is headlined by numerous musical groups ranging from My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Sleeping With Sirens, Boys Like Girls, Bring Me The Horizon, and many more.

The first two days have entirely sold out, knowing that multiple fans are enormously waiting for this event to happen. In fact, following their October 22 and 23 dates, they recently announced that a third-day set will also open on October 29. All of it will be held in Las Vegas.

Fans Suspicious

The fact that the festival, organized by Live Nation, promises performances from 65 bands initially set in one day and now two days with the same lineup is confusing.

Twitter Error

The tag #whenwewereyoungfest on TikTok has earned 18 million views and counting, but also it has sparked some shady tweets talking about the festival, where it could turn out to be "capitalistic nostalgia," at some point, baiting its audience.

The show was compared to the "Fyre" Festival due to its General admission tickets for one day, which started at $224.99. There is also GA+ for $399.99, including access to air-conditioned restrooms, while VIP tickets cost $499.99 with access to charging stations. When We Were Young even earned a nickname as "emo Fyre fest" by a TikToker because of the $12,000 cabanas package they were also offering.

Another TikTok that was shared on the internet brought up the idea that the festival will have Live Nation as their organizer, also known for handling the infamous "Astroworld" Festival. "So, we should be holding [them] accountable for something like that and not perpetuating another giant festival like this, because this line up is really good... something is bound to happen."
