The Recording Academy has finally set a new date following the postponement of The 2022 Grammy Awards, which was supposed to be held on the January 31 air date.

It was reported by Billboard that the new award show will be held at a new venue, MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, on April 3, as confirmed by the Recording Academy, Tuesday.

This is also said to be the first time the Grammys will be done outside Los Angeles or New York since 1973 when it happened in Nashville.

Due to the fast-spreading Omicron variant, the awards night telecast this year is delayed for about three weeks longer than the event held in 2021. The 2021 Grammy Awards were initially set on January 31 and then pushed back to March 14. It even led to an announced "indefinite" postponement of the CBS show in the first week of January.
