Machine Gun Kelly recently unveiled the official album art for his long-awaited pop punk album titled "Mainstream Sellout" and an outlet has noticed a striking similarities with another band's visuals; did he copy them?

Although the music between MGK and Japanese Breakfast is far different from each other due to their respective genres, Rolling Stone pointed out the similarities between the two records physical-wise.

Last year, the band, spearheaded by singer and author Michelle Zauner, released their album titled "Jubilee," which featured her in a minimalist set up surrounded with persimmons.

Japanese Breakfast is known for their songs "Be Sweet," "Jimmy Fallon Big" "Posing in Bondage," "Everybody Wants to Love You," and more.

Speaking about the inspiration for their visuals in a previous interview, Zauner said the fruit is "pretty present" in a lot of Asian cultures as gifts that they give out to other people.

The author's mother was Korean while her father is Jewish-American.

During winter time, Zauner said she had seen an image of hanging dried persimmons and turned into a sweet delicacy.

She liked the idea of hard and bitter fruit before it ripens and slowly matured into a sweeter produce and "letting its environment impact it."

"It felt like a very fitting metaphor for where I've come from," she added.

On the other hand, Machine Gun Kelly finally revealed the official album art for his LP "Mainstream Sellout."

The outlet noted that both records have similarities in their "Venn diagram" as they featured circles and hanging fruits.

MGK opted for a different produce as he featured pink-colored tomatoes which appeared to be thrown at him and smashed on the floor and wall.

At the time of this writing, both music acts has not publicly commented on the matter.
