Less than five years since he debuted on the Billboard charts, Lil Baby recently made a historic feat because of his 2020 hit album.

More widely known as Lil Baby, Dominique Armani Jones made waves in the rap scene in 2017 after dropping his mixtapes "Perfect Timing" and "Harder than Hard" after his brief stint in prison.

However, his "Too Hard" mixtape brought him to the light because it contained his hit single "Freestyle"; many considered that this mixtape was his turning point.

Fast forward to 2022, he had already released his debut album "Harder than Ever," which peaked No. 3 on the Billboard 200 charts.

"Harder than Ever" is led by his most notable collab with Drake, "Yes Indeed." The track peaked No. 6 at the Hot 100 charts and became Lil Baby's first top 10 hit.

Two years after the success of his debut album, Lil Baby released the sequel "My Turn" in 2020. This featured guest appearances from Moneybagg Yo, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Wayne.

This masterpiece brought out most of Lil Baby's notable tracks, including his protest song "The Bigger Picture."

"The Bigger Picture" was one of Lil Baby's famed tracks as it came on the heels of the Black Lives Matter protests.

NPR reported that the Atlantan rapper donated proceeds of the song to the Bail Project, the National Association of Black Journalists, and Breonna Taylor's legal team.

It racked up two nominations on the 2021 Grammys, earning a Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song nods.

Lil Baby's My Turn Broke Records

Since it debuted at No. 1 in 2020 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, the album has not left the Top spot for an unprecedented 85 weeks.

"My Turn" becomes Billboard's album with the most weeks inside the top 10 since the chart was created in 1965.

The album maintains its position at the No. 8 spot on the list for the week of March 19.

Lil Baby successfully surpassed Post Malone's 2019 smash hit "Hollywood's Bleeding," in just one week, clocking only 84 weeks on the top 10 of the top albums chart.

"My Turn," "Hollywood's Bleeding," "Stoney," and "beerbongs & bentleys," both of which are Post Malone's albums, dethroned the King of Pop Michael Jackson's iconic "Thriller" who lasted only 76 weeks on the top 10 of the chart.
