Yesterday, the Foo Fighters took to their Facebook page to make to make a big announcement to their fans. Well, sort of. The band announced that it would be sharing some big news this coming Monday, so it's basically an announcement of an announcement, if that makes sense.

Here's what the band wrote on their Facebook page:

"Ladies and Gents...keep an eye out here for some big news coming on Monday...In the meantime, we have just launched a brand new new online store with some brand new stuff.
Get it in here: https://shop.foofighters.com/collections/all"

While the "brand new new" online store is pretty cool news, the real story here is the "big news coming on Monday," which is probably related to the band's upcoming album. Just last week, producer Butch Vig revealed on Twitter that the new Foo Fighters album was finished and "EPIC!!!" The as-of-yet untitled album, the Foo Fighters' eighth and first since 2011's Wasting Light, has been slated for release sometime in November, but no specific release date has yet been revealed. Perhaps the "big news coming on Monday" is the album title, or a release date, or a new song, or possibly even all three.

Foo Fighters reportedly recorded this new album all across the country, with one song recorded in each city. Every song features a guest musician from the city it was recorded in, including Gary Clark, Jr. in Austin, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen in Chicago, and the Eagles' Joe Walsh in Los Angeles. The album's unusual recording process was documented in Foo Fighters Sonic Highways, an HBO series set to premiere in October.
